If you're here it's because we've decided to show you the configuration page.
The tweeterbrowser uses a technology from Sun Microsystems called Java. Java is a wonderful platform that is designed to ease cross-platform development.
This meant that we could write the tweeterbrowser once, and easily customize it to run on more than one platform.
But not all of the target environments come with the Java Runtime prerequisites for running the tweeterbrowser. Specifically, you must have JRE 1.5 or greater. If you have JRE 1.6 or greater you will be even more blessed with beneficial functionality.
This page gives you the opportunity to install these prerequisite bits of software. Don't worry, they're free and may be safely installed on your computer.
REQUIREMENTS AND SUPPORTED PLATFORMS
The tweeterbrowser has been tested on Ubuntu, Mac OS X, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.
You should probably have at least 1 Gig of RAM to avoid embarrasing problems working with larger diagrams.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR A MAC
If you are running Mac OS X 10.5 or greater, then the easiest way to obtain the Java technology is to go to the Apple menu, select Software Update and install the latest Java tools in the list.
You can also visit Apple's Java portal at this site.
